New Scholarship Fund!
VNA Foundation has established of a new scholarship endowment fund of $100,000. The scholarship honors one of the directors of the VNA Foundation, Rear Admiral Alene Duerk, the first female Admiral in the US Navy.
The scholarship is being offered in partnership with The University of Central Florida.
Joyce D. Henkler, Asst. Vice President for Major Gifts at UCF, stated in a letter to the Foundation, "I am delighted the officers of the VNA Foundation are partnering with the new College of Nursing in providing ongoing scholarship support for select students excelling in the nursing program. The Rear Admiral Alene Duerk VNA Endowed Scholarship will serve as a source of financial assistance to worthy students in the present and the future."
