In August 2023, the UCF College of Nursing announced that 5 students in the BSN program were honored to receive scholarships from the Rear Admiral Alene Duerk VNA Endowed Nursing Scholarship.
This scholarship was endowed by the VNA Foundation, Inc. in 2007 and to date has awarded over 105 students scholarship awards totaling over $120,000.
The 2023 scholarship recipients are Alondra Bravo, Jacqueline Ferro, Jennifer Ortiz, Marcia Elien and Wilkerlyne Noel.
Board members Margaret Brennan, RN and Jerry Kassab with spouse Nancy Kassab, RN had the pleasure to attend the scholarship luncheon held on November 14 . We were able to sit with and have lunch with 3 students who were able to attend that day.
